I have a VXCM 4.8.5 running fine and I wanted to upgrade to 4.9GA release.
I used the preq tool to verify all is good on server. Following the Upgrade instructions in the Install Guide:
After running setup and get the following error:
"HServer should be upgraded first, aborting installation"
The setup.exe aborts. Has anyone ran into this issue upgrading WDM 4.8.5 to 4.9GA?
I haven't found anything on the web on how to update HServer and where to find the latest versions OR seen anything on the support sites about this error. There was one instance where a user had to change the server name CASE sensitive in the database to resolve issue, but no other references out there.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Using the WDM SQL Query Tool:
When I Call Server(s), I get my SERVERNAME (not FQDN) in the "DB-Server-Instance" field. In the "Database" field, I see master, msdb, RapportDB, and tempDB. If I select RapportDB and select a Quick-Report like "Show Settings", I get an error. The error is "No valid Server given!"
So, I searched around and I saw where in mention to change the DB-Server-Instance to SERVERNAME\RAPPORTDB and select Database RapportDB. I made those changes and I get the Same errors.
So then I Try the MDTools v3.0 Tool:
Using the MDTools I see 4 Tables: Install, Server, SystemLog, and RapportUser. I View the "Install" view and see that the "ServerName" field is WINDOWS SERVERNAME. I View the "Server" view and the "Name" field is WINDOWS SERVERNAME. No FQDN Name. In
I also tried using SQL Studio Express and I connected but I really do not know how to use this and I see the RapportDB under Databases and then just schemas. No values like in the MDTools.
So, from the link you provided, you mention the possible solution as:
"Alter the server entries to match exactly your FQDN."
So if I use the MDTools, Which Table View (i.e.. Install) and which fields (i.e.. ServerName) needs to be changed? Using the Install View, I have 5 modules. Do I need to change them all? or one suffice.
I am sorry about the basic questions but I am not heavy user SQL or WDM.
