Posted: Tue Dec 16, 2008 2:01 am Post subject: USB Imager 1.4 and S10 WTOS and Firmware
I was sent the USB Imager 1.4 and S10 Bios image files by Wyse Support in Australia, but despite trying 2 different brands of USB Stick, I am unable to get an S10 to boot from USB. I am trying to reimage the firmware on a unit which does not talk to our WDM Server. I cannot find anyware a specific confirmation that the USB Imager software talks to an S10, just "S-Class devices". There is also no information in the White Paper packed with the USB Imager that shows the S10. Will an S10 boot into DOS from the USB?
What is the correct way to reimage the firmware for an S10? We bought this as a pilot for our terminal Server array, but results to date have not been good. Anyone have answers?
I am not using the USB imager myself but you can try to press the "P" key while the BIOS screen is shown. This should give you a boot menu where you can select your USB stick.
I am personally using the Wyse Simple Imager for quick&dirty reflashing.
