Note, this hotfix has a know issue that causes a snapin error when selecting manage from the properties of the My Computer icon. To manually fix this open regedit and search the HKLM/Software/Microsoft/MMC/NodeTypes for the value "Rapport" and delete any of these values.

If installing this hotfix on a Windows 2000 you will need to re-create the Rapport.msc. Run mmc.exe from the command line, select File - Add/Remove snap-in and Add the Rapport Snap-in. Finally save this over the top of the old .MSC in Program Files/Rapport/Rapport.msc

1. Rapport GUI will display SL devices as SX0 devices.

2. SL series CE device Image Push is supported with this hotfix. SX0 images are however incompatible with SL series devices.

        a) Image pulled from Build 6.3.0.39 and above from an S device can be pushed to SL devices.(If pulled image is less than 6.3.0.39 it can't be pushed to SL devices)

4. SL series XPE device support
        a) Image pulled from Build 3.040496.x and above from S90/SL90/9150 Device can be pushed to S90/SL90/9150 devices.
            (If pulled image is less than 3.040496.x it can't be pushed to SL devices)

5. Wisard will be upgraded to Build34

6. Install rapport 4.4.1 along with HF04041032905 before installing this hot fix. Only install this hot fix to support new RoHS devices, current S class will not require this patch.

The hotfix is a fix for FTP verification error that occurs during Rapport installation on some Windows platforms.
The failure is due to inability of the Rapport parser module to get the right FTP port in the services located at c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/services. Installing the hotfix after a failure to install Rapport will fix the FTP verification issue. The hot fix makes a change in the services file. It pushes the correct FTP port entry to the end of the file. The original services file will be renamed as "service_orig".

Note the patch has no GUI when run and may appear not to have made a change, this is normal.

Microsoft COM update for Windows Server 2003. This is re-packaged from the Microsoft release and does not contain the symbols library.

Standard service not running after installing Rapport 4.4.1 on some Windows platform (English Win 2003 Fix)

This is a fix for failure of standard service to connect to the database. The failure to connect to the database causes the
standard service of Rapport to not install and run after installation. This fix is an internal fix provided by Microsoft who claim that the problem lies in the default ODBC files that come with the OS and not the standard service code. Install this update on Windows Server 2003 before Rapport to avoid this error.

1. To install the hotfix WindowsServer2003-KB897667-x86-enu.exe should be doubled clicked.
2. After installing the hotfix reboot the system.
(DO NOT CLICK ON ANY OTHER FILE.This fix is only for WINDOWS ENGLISH OSes.)
